Welcome to my portfolio, the best space to browse my latest projects. After graduating with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design (2019) from Academy of Art University, San Francisco, I worked as a lead Technical designer for two Fashion labels based out of Bay Area. The advantage of them being small firms was that the responsibilities overlapped and this in turn helped me gain varied experience in Designing & Sourcing to Pattern making, PP samples & Production.

 

Having prior background in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering (B.Tech . NITK . 2014), I am driven to seek inspiration from Science for majority of my Design projects. While working on a collaboration project with a reputed Exoskeleton manufacturing company in the USA, my knowledge & experience in Material science as well as Design provided me an edge - I could wear my Engineer & Designer hats interchangeably to address issues around fit, breathability & utilitarian aspects that went beyond aesthetics. This interdisciplinary research became my true calling.

 

Lately I have been researching Smart textiles, Novel material mixes and Advanced technologies in Architecture & Fashion with the desire to launch Atipash, a one-of-a-kind Materials Exploration House in India aimed for the future of Fashion, Home furnishings & beyond. With state-of-art technology & a team of dedicated interdisciplinary researchers, Atipash aims to specialize in creating sustainable and cutting-edge materials that are tailored to the needs of designers and brands.
